Targeting Users Based Upon Activity On Their Phone And On The Web

Have you been thinking about whether or not the advertising results that you have had on Google are actually the best that are achievable. Google certainly has, and because of their continuing desire to improve the way that ads are delivered, they have made significant changes that are coming into play.



Until now, the ability to track activity from your desktop, opposed to what you would do on yourself own, as simply been separate. The ability to track what people do is everything when it comes to marketing, and Google is at the forefront of changing how successful advertisers will be using the new technology they are about to implement.

As you have probably heard, Google is trying to find a way to eliminate the cookie, bat file that is deposited into your web browser allowing other people to understand where you have been and what your activities actually are online. This is how retargeting actually works, when software programs are able to scan your cookies, and then display similar ads, or the same ads, you were looking at moments before on a completely different website. Fortunately, Google is not trying to eliminate this just yet, but is more focused upon combining all of this data whether you use and Android or Apple phone.

The profitability for running campaigns based upon knowing exactly where people go on their phone and on their computer is going to be the most valuable data in the world when it comes to online advertising. Although Google has launched cross device conversions connected with their browser, this is something that goes far beyond this technology, and is hoping to change the advertising world in a huge way.

Whether Google is able to use this with AdMob to target mobile applications and advertisements that are delivered when people download apps, and take it to a higher level than they have right now, remains to be seen. It is simply a promising aspect, yet another one of the innovative ways that Google is changing the way that we see advertising, and that advertisers can profit from the people they are able to target on the web and with mobile phones.

Google has been speaking about eliminating cookies, using a new and different type of technology. Whether this is what they are doing remains to be seen, but it is said to be a vast improvement over tracking methods used before to help advertisers generate more revenue.
