Patients try these remedies, however, because they think that there are no other alternatives open to them. They take the risk involved because they are desperate.

Some patients believe that their faith will be their saving grace. They think that their prayers, and the prayers of their loved ones will be enough to cure them. Some patients even seek out the prayers of known faith healers and they firmly believe that only God Himself can cure them. However, there are also many patients that go the spiritual route simply because they need to feel reassured.

It is not just patients that have to fight cancer. Research to find cures continues unabated and millions upon millions are spent on research and development. One never knows, a breakthrough may be just around the corner.
