DON'T ignore the people that interact with you. As a matter of fact, it's in your best interest to continually interact with those that engage you on social media. Of course, you want to make sure that their posts are worth addressing. Questions about your products or comments about your service in general are noteworthy, to say the least. User engagement will help you stay relevant on social media, not to mention attract more likes and followers to boot.
